JBL has introduced the JBL Bar Series, a new line of soundbars designed to deliver ultra-sound experiences for every room in the house. With six new models, this update marks a significant milestone for the brand, bringing clarity,Depth, and immersive sound with dangerouslyPiyped ancestors.
The flagship model in the series is the 1300MK2, a high-end stand-alone unit that boasts premium power(output) with up-firing drivers, enhanced with AI Sound Boost and SmartDetails features. The AI Sound Boost analyzes sound to optimize bass presence and prevent distortion, while SmartDetails highlights the importance of subtle audio details, like raindrops, to make the space feel untouched by its music.
The 1000MK2 is a mid-range version, offering two detachable, wireless rear speakers alongside the large, powerful display. It retains powerful specs but without the AI Sound Boost and SmartDetails, focusing smoothly on pure audio processing. The 700MK2 drops two-thirds of its features, reducing its channel count to 7.1. However, it includes three rear speakers ("_real" ones), with the .1 bass channel still using a single subwoofer for better bass reproduction with 10 inches of driver.
The 500MK2 is the first standalone soundbar in the series, with only one retroAnswers port. It delivers 450W of power, still on the high side, addressing quieter voices more effectively. Both Bar 700MK2 and Bar 500MK2 support virtual Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, depending on the setup, but their update ensures compatibility with both audio technologies.
