Zong Wingle

Looking for high speed internet connectivity across Pakistan with the freedom to move around with your broadband connection? Than going for a portable 3G/4G internet device is the right move for you to make. Especially if you do a lot of travelling and moving around Pakistan. Here is where the Zong wingle comes into the story.

There isn’t much room for arguing that Zong is undoubtedly the best 3G/4G internet provider in Pakistan right now. Their call quality may not be the best, but Zong’s internet services have proven to be available in more corners of the country than any other telecom provider. Signal coverage isn’t the only aspect. Speed is important and by far, Zong dominates in providing the highest speed there is.

It was not much of a surprise when Zong topped the list of telecom 3G/4G speeds in Pakistan last year. Zong came in at a comfortable number one with an average 3G speed of 7.71 Mbps, while the closest second was Mobilink (now Jazz), at a little over 5 Mbps.

At the moment, Zong is offering four devices to allow users to benefit from 3G/4G internet on the go. Two are being made by Huawei and are the most widely used, while the other two are manufactured by Fiber Home.

Features of Zong Wingle 4G Bolt

The only difference between the Zong 4G Bolt by Huawei and the Zong 4G Bolt by Fiber Home is the way that they look and are produced by different manufacturers. This can be easily seen in the pictures above. Other than that, there is absolutely no difference either their features, packages or cost. The same applies for the below discussed Zong 4G Bolt+ by Huawei and Zong 4G Bolt+ by Fiber Home.

Both devices offer the following features:

  • Support for speeds up to 150 Mbps

  • LTE/3G/2G fallback option available.

Price of the Zong Wingle 4G Bolt

At PKR 2,000 (inclusive of taxes), the Zong 4G Bolt is a great deal. It’s simple to use and convenient to keep on you at all times. The only issue some users might face is the fact that it does not have any power source of its own. A power outlet with a USB connector is needed for it to function.

Zong Wingle Internet Add Ons

In the situation where you run out of your monthly internet package, there are two add ons available to boost your data plan till the next month cycle.

Add-On Price
2GB Rs. 250
5GB Rs. 450

In my experience of having used it for a number of months now, the Zong Internet Wingle is a great device. Zong provided a stable and fast internet connection, that is decent for a couple of devices. Exceeding five or more devices connected at the same time could slow it down and really begin to eat up your data plan pretty fast.

Hopefully, we’ll begin seeing unlimited data plans in Pakistan some time soon.
