The tablet market is has slowed down quite a bit in 2016. Not many major developments that could have been termed as breakthroughs, but the major smartphone and tablet manufacturers still put out some good products for the tablet fans out there. In 2016, the best Android tablet for reading has got to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. Let’s talk about more about why that is.

For me, reading is essentially the primary use of any tablet device I would consider purchasing. For everything else, my smartphone is good enough to handle. Now when it comes to viewing documents, PDFs and EBooks on a larger screen, getting a tablet is your best bet. A laptop also isn’t as convenient, especially when you are on the go and travelling.

People working in different parts of the world who need to constantly be travelling on a weekly or even monthly basis, having something to pass the time is essential. A tablet device plays a good role in helping you kill the boredom and use that extra time valuably. From personal experience, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has to be the best android tablet for reading.

Why is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 the Best Android Tablet for Reading?

Android Tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Looks Great on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

There are plenty of great devices out on the market. Some of the best android tablets of 2016 may be much more powerful and have a larger variety of features. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is regarded by many as a downgrade from the previous year’s Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

Take my advice right now. If you are looking for a multimedia device for watching videos, playing games and that sort of stuff, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is not right for you. There are many great Android tablets which perform far better in that category – just not the S2.

Coming down to why I prefer the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and regard it as the best android tablet for reading: The resolution and size.

With an aspect ratio of 4:3, 8.0 inches and a thickness of just 5.6 mm, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is ideal for readers. It is easy to hold in even one hand, light weight, great on the eyes and has enough power to do everything even an advanced user would prefer.

One of The Best Displays on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is Very Easy to Handle

The 2048×1536 (QXGA) sAMOLED display is absolutely amazing. There is nothing else on the market that beats the display quality of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 at 8 inches. There is a 9.7-inch variant out there as well – perfect for the power users and less ideal for readers. Hands down, anything larger than 8 inches will not give you a good reading experience. It will be too large to handle and the resolution will be meant for HD videos and gaming.

Web browsing is also excellent on the Tab S2.

It also has an Octa-Core processor, 3 GBs of RAM and a bonus of 32 GB memory with a MicroSD slot as well. It basically is the perfect tablet for all sorts of users out there. Not to forget a great battery life which lasted more than a couple of days for me on normal usage.

Samsung finally introduced a decent fingerprint reader in the Galaxy Tab S2 as well. Unlike the previous swiping, it is just now touch and go. Good riddance for that.

Just to point out again, the resolution and aspect ratio was kept specifically in mind by Samsung this past year for readers. Not all devices can match such specifications and from my side, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is still the best device out there for readers and will be for some time.
