The great thing about Apple is that the company released updates on time, frequently and works quick to address concerns that come to limelight. Unlike Android and many of the smartphone manufacturers which use Google’s mobile operating system, Apple has been great with the iOS 11 regardless of what some might say.
Yes, there have been a few bumps down the road since Apple released iOS 11. But as the problems arise, Apple has been quick to address them and release updates on a global scale.
The latest update to be released by Apple for the iOS is version 11.1.1. While some bigger changes are expected when Apple finally rolls out 11.1 for iPhones and iPads around the world, this change is also quite significant.

What’s New with the iOS 11.1.1 Update?
In the iOS 11.1.1 update, Apple has addressed the following issues:
Fixes an issue with keyboard auto-correct.
Fixes and issue where Hey Siri stops working.
For my Apple iPhone 7 Plus, the update was slightly over 300 MB and could be similar for other models of the iPhone and iPad as well.
Let’s talk about the first issue this new iOS update addresses. Users had began noticing that their Apple keyboard autocorrected the letter “I” when using it. This was obviously an issue to cause major annoyance, but many had avoided it by using a third-party keyboard on their device or just could have turned autocorrect off.
Good thing Apple has rectified the issue now.
Another issue which was widespread was the noncooperation of Siri. Users would call out “Hey Siri” to engage with Apple’s personal assistant on their device, but there would be no response either at the start or during the command based conversation.
Many Apple users are reporting that the issue has also been resolved with this update.
How to Get the iOS 11.1.1 Update?
Just head over to settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap on the general tab. When inside ‘General’, you will see an option for ‘Software Update’. Get into that subsection and your Apple iPhone or iPad will automatically begin searching for the latest iOS 11.1.1 update.
Which Devices Have Received the iOS 11.1.1 Update?
All Apple devices which are running iOS 11 and above will receive the update automatically after you agree to download and install.
The process does take several minutes as the upgrade is not of a small size.
Other than that, Apple has officially states that the iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later and iPod Touch 6th generation will receive the iOS 11.1.1 update. For everyone out there, the update was officially rolled out on November 9, 2017.
Users are hoping that Apple will address some of the bigger issues that came with iOS 11, like battery drain, when the 11.2 update comes around.
