This year is going to be huge! Well, it already is as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus launched just days ago. Despite all the mixed reviews going around about the new S8 and S8 Plus being an Apple killer or not, I want to focus on the new Samsung flagship itself. There are a ton of features to talk about with Samsung’s most sought after smartphone of 2017 and we’re going to get through it together.

I have seen some of the best years for Samsung and Apple, but the horizon is now changing. It is changing for the better and both competitors are locked on in terms of bringing out the next revolutionary device. Every year, it gets harder and harder to decide which phone brings the most bang for your buck, but for 2017, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has to be the start of something great.

From previous years, it does seem like Samsung worked on improving the overall user experience with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Both can be categorized as ‘phablets’ as the Samsung Galaxy S8 is 5.8 inches while the S8 Plus comes in at a viable 6.2 inches.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Design

The mobile phone is beautiful. There is no question about that. But with all the bezel nearly gone and both sides of the screen now curved, how does it feel in the hand? Will it be easier to slip out and fall?

Even though Samsung has tried making the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as strong as possible with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back, the device still looks sensitive and prone to cracking. With it being an all glass body, a strong protector will certainly be required to keep your new phone safe from breaking and scratching.

Samsung claims that this new design of having an all-display screen and removing the home button, still feels comfortable in the palm of your hand. This is due to the smooth curves and shortcuts available easily by swiping in different directions.

The fingerprint reader is also on the back now, which means you might have to do some fidgeting around to get the job done.

Should You Get the Samsung Galaxy S8?

There is no question about the Samsung Galaxy S8 being a game changer. The ability to have a desktop experience with your mobile phone will be great for many users. If all goes well, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may just kill off tablets, laptops and desktops altogether because all you’ll need is your device and a screen to connect to. A wireless mouse wouldn’t hurt either.

Personally, I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy S8 to all android lovers out there. Other competitors just don’t match up to the specs and features offered in this year’s Samsung flagship smartphone.
